Beschreibung

***This text is in english, but the book is in ukranian language *** THE JOURNEY OF BAILEY BUTTERFLY - Stressregulation for kids A psychological storytelling and activity book for preschool, kindergarten, elementary school and home-use. Embedded in this storytelling and activity book of "The Journey of Bailey Butterfly" you will find exercises that will help you and your child to regulate yourselves in any stressful situation. Stress can trigger our survival mechanism of fight, flight or freeze in one way or another. The activities will help your nervous system to return to a more regulated and calmer state of being so you can feel safe again. The foundation of the activities in this story are based on Somatic Experiencing, a technique to overcome traumatic experiences by Dr. Peter Levine, the Polyvagal Theory detected by Dr. Steven Porges and EmotionAid from Gina Ross.

Autorenportrait

***This text is in english, but the book is in ukranian language *** The author and illustrator is the Gestalt and trauma therapist (Somatic Experiencing) and graduate mathematician Kati Bohnet. She works with families with traumatized children as well as their teachers, educators and relatives in her practice in Berlin. She is the founder and director of the helpers circle education center, in which she and families with traumatized children and their teachers, educators and relatives immerse themselves in the shallows of the nervous system through on-site and online workshops, training courses and regular group offers, so that they with the necessary local knowledge on the "sea floor" can safely accompany their adoptive/foster/bonus/belly child. The SOS exercises for emotional first aid & stress regulation have been tried and tested in practice for a long time. SOS stands for Somatic Oriented Safety because that is what our nervous system is all searching for at all times.
