THIS BOOK Of all the mass extinction events in Earths history, the most familiar is probably the one that wiped out the dinosaurs and ushered in the age of the mammals on the Earth. This is known as story of Cretaceous-Early Tertiary Event or K / T Boundray. A big Astronomical huge body impact the earth and also series of massive and long-lived global volcanic eruptions that dragged earthy and most of marine species into extinction ( Several Authors). The debate started with the discovery of a layer of clay present throughout the world, and situated right at the boundary of the Cretaceous and (more recent) Paleocene rocks, marking a line between these stages where the fossils suddenly changed in new niches. In the clay, there was a sharp increase in iridiuman element of the rare earth elements in Earths crust. That suggested an extraterrestrial visitor. In Egypt, Deep marine origin of more complete exposed sediments of uppermost Cretaceous / early Danian ( early Paleocene) in Southern Sinai, that layer of clay is exposed and formerly present those boundary. These rocks were laid down nearly 66 million years ago during the extinction event.
