He is also the illustrator of the Shapes series, Extra Yarn, which received a Caldecott Honor, Sam and Dave Dig a Hole and How Does Santa Go Down the Chimney? all written by Mac Barnett. His Shapes series with Mac Barnett has been adapted into Shape Island, a stop-motion animated TV series on Apple TV+.
